Trampolining in St Austell
Welcome to Cornish Trampolining Academy:
From a single corner to a county-wide community, our journey has been one of soaring ambition and steady growth. We believe that everyone should have the chance to experience the "big air" feeling, whether they are aiming for the podium or just looking for a fun way to stay active.
Our Journey:
Why Choose CTA?
Our Journey:
Our story began in 2013 as a small branch of Aspire Gymnastics Academy. Back then, our "academy" consisted of exactly one 77a trampoline tucked away in a quiet corner of the gym. Space was tight, but the passion for the sport was massive. As the years passed, the demand for trampolining in Cornwall reached new heights. By 2019, we had outgrown our corner and moved to Polkyth Leisure Centre. This move allowed us to expand our reach, renting two additional beds while Jason supplied a high-performance Goliath trampoline to meet the needs of our growing squad. In 2022, a major turning point arrived. Aspire Gymnastics Academy closed its doors as the owner moved on to new ventures. Seizing the moment to protect the sport we love Jason founded Cornish Trampolining Academy.
Cornish Trampolining Academy:
CTA was officially born. We didn't just survive the transition; we thrived. We invested in two competition-specification trampolines, allowing us to return the original 77a and the Goliath to Brannel Trampoline Club. Today, our facility is equipped to train the next generation of provincial and national stars.
A Legacy of Coaching Excellence:
We take immense pride in the fact that CTA is built by the people who jumped here. As we grew, many of our senior trampolinists stepped up to become assistant coaches, helping to mentor the younger generation.
- Owain: Our longest-standing member, Owain has been with us since the very first bounce in 2013. He is now a qualified coach and plays a vital role in club development, working specifically with our competitors to refine their routine performance and technical execution having competed at the BSGA National Schools Trampoline Competition and Trampolining League 3.
- Nathan: We are incredibly lucky to have Nathan on our coaching team. Bringing a wealth of experience, Nathan had an outstanding competitive career as a National Finalist from the early 1990s through 2002. He assists us part-time alongside his professional career, providing our members with elite-level insights. Nathans day job is running SuperTramp trampoline park in Bodmin
- Jason: Founder and head coach for CTA a fellow National Finalist and competitor against Nathan (sadly loosing more often than not) with a competitive career starting in 1991 finishing in 2006. He has coached fellow competitors on the national circuit at Ministry Of Air, Reading Trampoline Club and Apex Gym Club before moving to Cornwall in 2007 where he continued to coach for Polkyth Leisure Centre and Newquay Sports Centre during his spare time while working in IT.
